Bacanora, deeply rooted in Sonoran culture, is a mezcal crafted from locally grown agaves, with its name hailing from the birthplace in the municipality of Bacanora. Despite challenges like prohibition and persecution under Plutarco Elias Calles, former governor and president of Mexico, Bacanora remains an integral part of society. Its production extends across Sonora, notably in the Serrana regions. In 1994, Bacanora gained official recognition as a denomination of origin.

Bacanora Yoowe, crafted by Maestro Ramon Miranda in the village of Alamos in southern Sonora, is a unique expression made from the agave Angustifolia Haw Pacifica.
